Great service department. I take my Tundra here for oil changes and anytime there is something going on with my vehicle. I worked with Allie, and her team is always quick to diagnose any problems, get them fixed, and get me back on the road. I generally just wait in the lounge, which is clean and free snack and coffee, although they do always offer a complimentary shuttle. I highly recommend servicing tour vehicle here.
I worked with Richard and Paul and I would highly recommend them if you need a vehicle these guys went above and beyond my expectations. I love the truck they put me in. The service department is horrible!! They keep your car all day, never update you and then do not fix a recall and mention because you don’t bring your car there to be serviced instead you take it done where else to have the oil changed , filters so they make up excuses to not fix your recall !

Pulled into dealership with grinding noise in back left tire. No appointment Friday. We are from out of town. The service brake specialist looked and identified a mud flap bracket that had gone awry. Service fixed it with a zip tie and no charge. Such kindness and concern! Thankful.
Took car in due to making noise was told needed new transmission, kept for over two months, car making more noise than it was when I took it in, picked up with severe hail damage after being told it was protected, not one time was hail damage mention when I picked up my car, car was covered with dirt I guess to hide the damage. We purchased our 2023 RAV4 hybrid limited from Classic in March of 2023 after trying to find one for over 4 months. When we started experiencing problems with the power head monitor, we took ik wyd a closer dealership. After 2 failed attempts to fix the problem, we scheduled an appointment with Classic in Tyler. They determined that the power head had to be replaced and ordered a replacement. When it arrived about 3 weeks later, we scheduled an appointment for 2 days later. I sent my 2023 GR86 in for its first oil change and the drain pug was re-installed way too tight and the threads on the oil pan were stripped. I have the car towed to Classic and they start the repairs and get the car back to me after having it for several days. The dealer did not supply a rental for me at this time. THREE MONTHS OF WAITING for a key fob,apparently they sold it to another customer and called my wife 10 min before her scheduled appointment AFTER she drove an hour and a half and told her they sold it to someone else... worst customer service we have ever dealt with. Can't get ANY management to call us back. I can not afford to have a stroke over a replacement key that I bought insurance for thru Allstate at Classic Toyota Tyler tx. This is as horrible customer service. Over a dozen people since Thursday talked to and no fob. Im without transportation if main key is lost stolen whatever.. Insurance I paid thru the nose for all this. Insurance is NO good if you can't get service to file the claim. I rest my case. The sale was a snap and dream and I love the car but now this.
Paul Pruhomme was amazing! He was patient, understanding and listened carefully to my needs. He took the time to show me options on the lot without hurrying me into a decision. He is a fine young man who is very knowledgeable. The dealership as a whole, was very kind and friendly. At no time did I feel pushed into any decision. I recommend them!
Worst experience ever. This is my 3rd dealing with the service department and it seems you can’t get anyone to respond to you unless you leave a bad review 🙃 My last oil change I was told my “cabin air filter was broken”, ok I know nothing about cars. My experience with service department was terrible. Had sound coming from front end on 2014 Lexus. They supposedly replaced wheel bearing. In addition to the original sound still being there, on our drive home there is a new sound, metal on metal. At home, pulled the wheel off and found they bent the backing plate that protects the break rotor. Was able to fix myself. I have called Abiud Medina twice and he will no return my call.
Doug is the man, had my moms vehicle ready to go so that she didn’t have to wait around all day after driving from Arkansas for her new car!
The service department at Classic Toyota Tyler is such trash. I bought a 2017 Lexus NXT from them in June 2022. There were pieces missing from the cup holders that adjust to fit your cup size, right mirror rattled on the highway, and the panel beneath the passenger seat was broken. Was told it would be fixed they just needed to order parts. Ok no problem. Terrible service for repair. Took our Sienna in for an engine light coming on. Told that cam shaft needed to be replaced. Initially told it would take 2 weeks to get part in, and the other needed parts were already in stock. That was in April 2022-2 weeks turned into another 2 weeks and fast forward 4 months later and part finally came in. Repeatedly told that it was due to supply issues as a result of the pandemic. Classis Toyota is a terrible dealer. They don't care about servicing their customers and don't have the decency to return calls in order to solve a problem. I bought a 2022 4Runner in January. I hate giving bad reviews but this is by far the worse dealership I’ve done business with. “EVER” While trying to buy a Tundra the salesman and/or management did opposite of what I asked. Service department is a rip off. Said 2007 prius needed a new engine to fix service engine light problem-took to independent mechanic who said all it needed was new spark plugs and the coil was bad. Took Classic toyota a week to call with what they thought was the problem and would cost $5000. Took the independent mechanic a few hours to determine issue and cost $200 Do not recommmend service department.
Bought a 2021 Sienna - Kevin was extremely friendly and knowledgeable - he made it a great buying experience. Cosme an Penny were also great to deal with!
We bought a new 2021 Toyota Camry hybrid yesterday (March 22, 2021). Elder was our Sales Person and he was great to us. He gave us a good deal and we never felt pressured, insulted or dis-respected as happens at dealerships. We always remember the good ones! Thank you Elder for excellent service!
I would not recommend Classic Toyota in Tyler to any of my friends or family. Not to purchase a vehicle nor service area. Walked in to check out the Highlander and walked out with a certified pre owned Hybrid. Tristan and Bentlie were respectful and helpful. I certainly recommend the dealership and I am a fan of the way they do business. Didn’t really intend to but a car that day so they had to do a couple of special things for us in order to make it happen logistically. Every one of those hurdles were easily cleared and we left very pleased with the whole process. Give them the first shot and you won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I now own our third Camry. The present one is a 2017 Camry XSE with a fourcylinder engine. Our sales experience was a good one. Our service experience has been a bit different. Toyota offers free service visits for the first 25,000 miles. As we drove and used our new car the only problem that arose was that one of the tire and wheel assemblies began to lose air. Nate Bazzell was so knowledgeable about the Toyota Camry and Corolla that he was showing me. He answered all my questions. He made my experience a pleasure.
